NAD injections: benefits, risks and clinic costs
NAD injections, also called NAD+ injections or NAD shots, are offered by online clinics for wellness and longevity. This guide separates the molecule from the claimed benefits, explains why NAD is not a peptide, and compares treatment-specific plan costs with source dates.
7 of the 29 NAD+ clinics publish a single flat rate that is verified and does not rise after an introductory period. A further 8 advertise a rate that rises. Precision Telemed, AgelessRx, Pallas Health, System Labs, Embody, Ageless, Wellorithm, Sprout Health. Counted from our own price data, last verified 2026-10-26. How we count this →
What the figures are.Only NAD+ prices we have read on the clinic's own page, with the date we read them. Where a clinic charges less for the first month, both figures are shown, and the list is ordered by the price you pay after month one.
What are NAD injections, NAD shots and a NAD plus injection?
These names refer to products containing nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, usually written NAD+. NAD+ is a coenzyme involved in cellular reactions, including energy metabolism. Its role inside cells does not establish that an injection improves energy, memory or lifespan. The NIH PubChem record describes the molecule; the 2019 Grant pilot study studied what happened to NAD+ and its metabolites during intravenous infusion. Sources reviewed 17 October 2026.
A clinic's NAD shot is not automatically the same product, route or exposure as a supervised IV infusion. Use the route and formulation on the prescription, rather than treating the search terms as interchangeable instructions. Our side-effects guide separates infusion findings from the uncertainty around home injections.
Is NAD a peptide? What does “NAD+ peptide” mean?
NAD is not a peptide. It is a dinucleotide coenzyme, as shown in PubChem. Peptides are a different chemical class. “NAD+ peptide” is a search term, not an accurate ingredient name. If a clinic groups NAD+ with peptide treatments, ask which ingredient is actually prescribed and whether it is a combination product. We list sermorelin peptide separately so those categories stay clear. Source reviewed 17 October 2026.
What is NAD good for, and what benefits of NAD injections are established?
NAD+ has a normal biological function. That is a different question from whether extra NAD+ produces a useful treatment outcome. The Grant study, published 12 September 2019, measured plasma and urine metabolites in a small IV pilot. It was not a trial showing that subcutaneous shots treat fatigue, reverse aging or improve cognition. Those claimed benefits cannot be concluded from that study.
If you searched for “NAD peptide benefits,” start with this distinction: an ingredient's mechanism, a change in a blood marker and a benefit you can feel are different claims. A clinic should identify the human trial supporting the outcome it advertises, including the same route of administration. See our comparison of supplements and clinic care for the separate purchasing decisions.
What risks should you check before buying NAD+ injections?
The FDA's notice on sterile compounding describes adverse events after NAD+ injectables, including severe chills, shaking, vomiting and fatigue, with some people needing medical treatment. It warns about unsuitable food-grade ingredients and potential endotoxin contamination. This is a reason to check the dispensing pharmacy and the specific formulation, rather than assume a wellness label establishes safety. Source reviewed 17 October 2026.
Where do you inject NAD+?
Ask the prescribing clinician and dispensing pharmacist to confirm the intended route and site for your exact product, and use their written instructions. An IV study is not a home-injection guide. This page does not provide injection technique, amounts or a schedule. If instructions are missing or conflict, have the pharmacy resolve them before use. The FDA's sterile-compounding notice above explains why the product and its preparation matter as well as the ingredient name.
How should you compare NAD injection plans?
Compare the same treatment and supply length. Look for the recurring charge, upfront payment, separate consultation or lab fees, pharmacy, cancellation terms and the date each price was read. The table below keeps the recorded treatment-specific prices and their source dates beside the clinic links. A lower advertised monthly equivalent is not necessarily a lower first payment. Our pricing disclosures explain the distinctions we track.

Sells NAD+, price not yet recorded by us
These clinics list NAD+, but we have not recorded a NAD+ price from their own pages yet. Their review shows the price we verified for their main treatment, which may be a different one.

What NAD+ therapy costs
$66 to $369 per supply period, depending on the clinic and how they price their programs.
NAD+ injection side effects
The side effects people report with NAD+ are mostly short-lived. Nausea, stomach discomfort, a fast heartbeat and a feeling of chest pressure show up when NAD+ is given into a vein quickly. For the subcutaneous injections most online clinics ship to your home, there is very little published human data at all, so nobody can give you a reliable list of how often each effect happens.

NAD+ supplements vs a clinic prescription
NMN powder starts at $0.55 per gram. A clinical NAD+ protocol runs $66–$199 a month for most providers. Here is what the price difference actually buys.
NMN vs NR
NMN powder runs $0.55/g. The leading NR capsule brands run $5.44–$8.67/g. Here is what the price difference actually reflects.
Which NAD+ clinics require lab work before prescribing
Most online NAD+ clinics start with a health questionnaire. A handful go further and require actual blood work before they will prescribe. We read the intake process pages of all 25 clinics then in our ranked set (September 2026) and found three that incorporate lab testing in a meaningful way. Not as an upsell, but as a prerequisite or a structural part of the protocol.
The short answer
| Clinic | Lab requirement | What they test | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Made Med | Required before prescribing | CMP + IGF-1 | From $169/mo |
| Hone Health | Required (full panel at intake) | 50+ biomarkers at 2,000+ lab locations | From $175/mo |
| Get Heally | Comprehensive intake panel | Blood panel + DUTCH + microbiome + CGM | From $165/mo |
The other 22 clinics we reviewed use intake questionnaires (some short, some detailed) but none require a blood draw before prescribing.
Made Med: CMP and IGF-1 before sermorelin
Made Med is the clearest example of lab-gated prescribing in the set. Their protocol for sermorelin explicitly states that dosing is confirmed by IGF-1 levels. A marker that reflects growth hormone activity and can only be measured with a blood draw. A Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) is also part of intake.
Their clinical page states: "Your doctor will confirm it's right for you based on your IGF-1 levels." The CMP + IGF-1 protocol is described as a prerequisite, not an optional add-on. Without the labs, you do not get the sermorelin prescription.
Made Med's starting price is $169/mo for sermorelin. Lab costs are not bundled into the monthly rate and are quoted separately. The lab requirement does have a practical consequence: your first month will cost more in total than the monthly rate suggests.
The upside of this approach: when a clinic adjusts dosing based on an actual marker, you know what you are getting is calibrated to your physiology, not just to a filled-out form. Whether that calibration matters at the doses involved is a clinical question the lab result does not by itself answer. But the baseline is there.
Hone Health: 50+ biomarkers at intake
Hone Health structures its longevity program around a comprehensive intake panel: 50+ biomarkers tested through a network of 2,000+ lab locations in the US. The blood draw happens at a physical location, not at home. After the results come in, you have a video consultation with a board-certified physician who reviews the panel and determines your protocol.
The recurring program costs $175/mo, but there are additional mandatory costs at intake: a $25 membership fee and a $65 lab panel fee (minimum. The panel scope can affect the final figure). The $25 + $65 means the first-month total is at minimum $265 before the monthly medication cost.
On the Premium plan, Hone includes regular retesting. The labs are not a one-time intake screen but an ongoing part of the program. If you want a number-driven protocol that updates as your markers change, that structure is unusual among the clinics we reviewed.
Hone's pricing model is classified as membership-plus-meds in our data. The monthly medication cost is separate from the membership. This makes a direct monthly comparison with flat-rate clinics misleading: the ongoing rates are closer than the entry figures suggest once the membership is annualized.
Get Heally: four kinds of testing on one menu
Get Heally lists four kinds of testing alongside its treatments. Their program includes a comprehensive blood panel, a DUTCH test (dried urine test for comprehensive hormones. Covers cortisol, androgens, estrogens, and metabolites), a microbiome gut test, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). They also offer video consultation with board-certified physicians and carry LegitScript certification.
Starting price is $165/mo. The breadth of testing positions Get Heally as a full-panel longevity diagnostic, not just an NAD+ subscription. For someone who wants a complete hormonal and metabolic baseline before starting any protocol, that scope is unusual.
The tradeoff is complexity. With four separate test types at intake, coordinating results and scheduling extends the time between signup and first prescription. Clinics that use a questionnaire are faster to start. That convenience is real, even if it comes at the cost of individualization.
What questionnaire-only intake looks like
For comparison: MYRNK, one of the clinics we ranked, begins intake with a "Quick Quiz: See if NAD+ is right for you in seconds." That quiz is the entire clinical gating mechanism. No blood draw, no physician review of lab results before prescribing.
Most of the 26 clinics fall somewhere between MYRNK's quiz and Get Heally's four-test panel. A few require a short health questionnaire plus a provider review; a few include a video consultation. Almost none require a blood draw. The three above are the exceptions.
Does lab-gated prescribing matter for NAD+?
It depends on what the labs are measuring and why. For sermorelin, where Made Med and Hone both focus, IGF-1 is a clinically relevant marker: dosing sermorelin without knowing where your IGF-1 sits means adjusting a system you have not measured. For NAD+ specifically, there is no single standard marker equivalent to IGF-1 for growth hormone protocols. The broader panels at Hone and Get Heally capture metabolic and hormonal context that a physician can use to interpret how a longevity intervention might fit, even if the NAD+ dose itself is not set by a specific blood value.
What the labs do unambiguously: they add a physician-reviewed medical record to your protocol history, they catch contraindications a questionnaire might miss, and they create a baseline for measuring change. Whether that is worth the added cost and time at intake is a judgment that depends on your reasons for starting.

How we count this
The definition.A clinic counts when it publishes a single flat rate, that rate is verified against the clinic's own live page, and it does not rise after an introductory period. All three must hold; a clinic failing any one of them is not counted.
What we check. For each clinic we note how it bills, whether we confirmed the price on its own live page, and whether the advertised figure is a promotional entry rate. A clinic must also carry an actual figure. A flat model with no number is not a published price.
The denominator is 29, not 31. It is the number of clinics we track that actually offer NAD+. We rank 31 in total, and dividing a NAD+ claim by all of them would overstate the roster by counting a clinic that does not sell it.
Last verified 2026-10-26. That is the most recent price check among the clinics counted, not the date this page was built.
What this figure does NOT claim. It is not a “full cost” figure. A flat monthly rate is not the same as everything you will be charged: we hold an intake or evaluation fee for only 1 of the 31 clinics on the roster, so for the rest we cannot say what the first month totals. We publish the narrower claim we can support rather than the broader one we cannot.
